Our work spans diverse regions, providing tailored solutions to combat extremism, enhance governance, and promote resilience in Europe, the Middle East & Asia, and Africa.

Europe

ACCET collaborates with European governments and agencies to counter extremism, focusing on dismantling networks like ISIS and far-right groups. Through governance reforms, cybersecurity initiatives, and community engagement, we enhance resilience against radicalization and foster social cohesion.

Middle East & Asia

In regions impacted by groups like ISIS and the Taliban, ACCET leads efforts in peacebuilding, economic recovery, and youth resilience. Our initiatives address the root causes of extremism, promote inclusive governance, and empower local communities to resist radical ideologies.

Africa

ACCET works across Africa to combat threats from extremist groups such as Al-Shabaab and Boko Haram. By strengthening governance, fostering economic development, and enhancing local conflict resolution capacities, we help build resilience and support sustainable peace in vulnerable regions.

Our Programs.

Europe.

ACCET’s work in Europe focuses on strengthening democratic institutions, enhancing cybersecurity, and fostering social cohesion in countries navigating complex political landscapes and regional tensions.

In Ukraine, ACCET’s team has been instrumental in empowering civil society to combat corruption and resist Russian influence. Our efforts have fostered democratic values and freedoms throughout the country. Additionally, we conducted a comprehensive Gap Analysis of the National Cybersecurity Strategy, strengthening Ukraine’s digital defenses.

Our team’s work in North Macedonia has focused on strengthening local governance, civil society, and education. Through these efforts, we have successfully promoted social justice and created economic opportunities for the population.

In Kosovo, ACCET played a crucial role in developing the post-war legal framework for democratic governance. We ensured inclusive representation of Serb and ethnic minorities, contributing to the country’s stability. Our team also drafted Kosovo’s first National Cybersecurity Strategy. Furthermore, we implemented a nationwide strategic communication campaign to educate youth about the dangers of extremism, promoting a more resilient society.

ACCET has been instrumental in fostering Albania’s EU integration process. We managed international assessment and election observation missions, which have significantly promoted political accountability and transparency in the country.

In Georgia, our team conducted thorough GAP Analyses for the National Cybersecurity Strategy and Information Security Law. We worked to align the country’s cybersecurity efforts with the EU NIS Directive and strengthened both National and Sectorial CERTs, enhancing Georgia’s overall cybersecurity posture.

Our Programs.

Middle East & Asia.

In the Middle East and Asia, ACCET addresses critical challenges related to extremism, social reintegration, and youth empowerment, tailoring our approaches to the unique contexts of each country.

ACCET has been actively involved in reintegrating Al-Hol camp returnees in Syria. Our programs have fostered social cohesion among returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities. Through these efforts, we have effectively combated ISIS recruitment, contributing to the region’s stability.

In Kazakhstan, ACCET has worked to strengthen civil society’s role in promoting democratic governance. Our programs have focused on combating corruption and fostering social peace between Kazakh and Russian ethnic groups, promoting a more inclusive and stable society.

ACCET’s work in Jordan has been multifaceted. We’ve countered extremism and terrorism by undermining Al Qaeda and ISIS outreach. Our team has promoted civic education and social cohesion throughout the country. Additionally, we designed and led an international team in developing the National Water Information System. ACCET experts also designed USAID’s flagship youth activity, which has improved career guidance, economic opportunities, and civic engagement for approximately 800,000 youth in Jordan.

Our Programs.

Africa.

ACCET’s initiatives in Africa concentrate on countering violent extremism, enhancing cybersecurity infrastructure, and supporting conflict mitigation efforts to promote stability and development across the continent.

Across West Africa, ACCET experts have supported the integration of countering violent extremism and resilience programming across five USAID missions. These efforts have significantly reduced terrorist influence in the region, contributing to greater stability and security.

In Kenya, ACCET’s cybersecurity team conducted a comprehensive Gap Analysis of the National Cybersecurity Strategy. We developed robust frameworks for Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP), cooperation, cybercrime management, National Public Key Infrastructure (NPKI), and capacity building. Our work has also supported conflict mitigation, civic participation, and job creation, fostering a more stable and prosperous society.

ACCET has provided crucial support in Somalia by assisting in the drafting of Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Legislation/Bill. This work has been instrumental in strengthening Somalia’s legal framework to address digital threats and cybercrime.
