In North Macedonia, ACCET promotes governance reforms, civic engagement, and economic development to reinforce democratic stability in the Western Balkans. ACCET’s cybersecurity work in Georgia has reinforced national defenses against state-sponsored cyber threats. Our comprehensive Gap Analyses of Georgia’s National Cybersecurity Strategy and Information Security Law helped align the country’s digital infrastructure with EU and NATO standards. By strengthening Georgia’s National and Sectoral CERTs (Computer Emergency Response Teams), ACCET contributes to broader regional resilience against cyber warfare and digital espionage.

Syria: Undermining Extremist Networks and Preventing ISIS Resurgence
In Syria, ACCET supports counterterrorism efforts by reintegrating Al-Hol camp returnees, a population highly vulnerable to ISIS recruitment. By fostering social cohesion among returnees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and host communities, ACCET disrupts extremist recruitment pipelines and helps prevent the resurgence of violent ideology.
Through these efforts, ACCET contributes to greater regional stability, helping build pathways to recovery in one of the world’s most fragile conflict zones.
Kazakhstan: Strengthening Partnerships by Promoting Democratic Stability
Kazakhstan plays a critical role in Central Asia’s political and economic landscape. ACCET works to strengthen civil society, promote transparency, combat corruption, and reduce ethnic tensions—supporting Kazakhstan’s democratic development and regional stability.

Jordan: Countering Extremism and Securing Regional Stability
In Jordan, ACCET’s initiatives promote social cohesion, youth empowerment, and resilience against extremism:
Enhancing Strategic Infrastructure: ACCET helped develop Jordan’s National Water Information System, improving resource management and reinforcing national resilience in the face of climate, economic, and security challenges.
Empowering the Next Generation: ACCET led the design of USAID’s flagship youth initiative, reaching 800,000 young people with career guidance, civic engagement opportunities, and economic empowerment activities—providing alternatives to radicalization and fostering hope for the future.
Countering Violent Extremism: ACCET supports efforts to undermine terrorist recruitment and extremist propaganda, helping insulate Jordan from regional instability.

West Africa: Disrupting Extremist Networks and Strengthening Local Capacities
West Africa faces growing threats from extremist groups, including Boko Haram and ISIS-affiliated cells. ACCET has supported counter-extremism efforts across five USAID missions, working to diminish the operational reach of these groups and prevent the spread of violence.
Through integrated counterterrorism programming and community resilience initiatives, ACCET helps fortify local defenses against radicalization and violent extremism, contributing to a more peaceful and secure region.
Kenya: Advancing Cyber Resilience and Civic Engagement
In Kenya, ACCET has played a leading role in strengthening digital security and civic participation. Our comprehensive Gap Analysis of Kenya’s National Cybersecurity Strategy supported improvements in Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP), cybercrime management, and inter-agency coordination.
